Android P is perfectly according to the Google Digital wellbeing policy which says “Great technology should improve life not distract from it.”
Android P, as it may have hundreds of updates but the most important updates are shared by Android in Google I/O 2018 Keynotes on 8 May.


• New Navigation System

A proper and perfect is introduced in the upcoming Android version. This will ease the process of navigating within various applications.

• Smart text selection in Overview

The text selection process is now easy to copy and paste.

• Simplified volume controls

More simplified volume controls to improve the experience of listening to music.

• Rotation button

Rotation button appears on navigation bar as you turn the device.


• Adaptive Battery

New Android 9.0 uses machine learning to work out which apps you use and when, waking them only when they are likely to be required and, in an energy-efficient manner.

• Adaptive brightness

Personalized brightness setting for every personalized account.

• App Actions

Android 9.0 also recommend the action which you are about to take with the help of Machine Learning.

• Slices

Allows part of the app UI to be brought right into Google search results, allowing you to, for example, order an Uber without opening the app.

Digital Wellbeing

Android Dashboard

Android dashboard is designed to help you with your daily habits and show you meaningful activities. For example – How many times you unlock your phone and how many notifications you received etc.

• App Timer

Let’s you remind if you are using the app more than the recommended times.

• Slush Gesture

Automatically start Do Not Disturb mode in your phone.

• Wind Down Mode

Google Assistant will help you with your daily schedule like when to go to bed and when to grow up.

How to get Android P now

If you want to install Android P Beta version, you have to enroll for the Android Beta Programme.
Beta version is available on the Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL. In other brands, beta is available for Nokia 7 plus, Essential phone, Oppo R15 Pro, Sony Xperia XZ2, Vivo X21UD, Vivi X21, OnePlus 6 and Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S.

When is Android P coming out?
Maybe the Android 9.0 is available for people in the mid or late of August 2018.
